The year-that-shall-not-be-mentioned was hard on everyone, but here’s to one Route teammate who kept their chin—and the rest of ours—up no matter what.

This shout-out, we’re tossing our hands in the air for Tyler Holtby!

As an account executive, he’s in charge of making sure everyone he works with is happy, healthy, and thriving, no matter what wrenches the world tosses their way. Read on and learn more about Tyler and his role here at Route.

A Bit About Tyler 😎

I love most things outside and sports. My favorite being road cycling and boating. When one of my best friends got a job at Route, the company caught my eye.

The History of Tyler & Route 

One of the first things I noticed about Route was how young the company was. I love startups and figuring things out as we go along. That plus the foundation and leadership Route had already built made the move a no-brainer.

Since I’ve come on board, I’ve been surprised by the activity groups Route has created to keep people engaged beyond just work. From mental health groups to outdoor recreation groups, there’s a variety of extras to choose from. In fact, one of my favorite projects has been helping create the road riding team here, Route Road Riders. We even got jerseys and started group rides, even wearing them in a race together.

What’s Your Team Like?

In a word, strong. Everyone wants to help each other and is very selfless. People are always willing to share their trade secrets and help others to help reach goals.

Plus, the people at Route are very accepting. I have never worked for a company that was so willing to go above and beyond to make everyone feel truly like a family and that they fit in beyond just the job they are here to do.

What About Your Role Challenges You?

As an account executive, the most challenging part of my role is finding new deals consistently throughout the month. I’ve been coaching with my team lead and continually trying to do new things to improve the process. As the goal of the role, though, it’s definitely a challenge I’m ready to take on.

Which Route Value Resonates with You the Most?

Route’s values are passion, authenticity, celebration, and team over ego. They resonate with everyone differently, but the one that hits home the hardest for me is passion.

I am a very passionate person, and if my heart isn’t invested in something, I have a hard time doing it. But the second I am passionate about something, there is very little that anyone can do to stop me from attaining it.
